While our stories help us make sense of our lives and relationships, the meanings we attach can be misleading, often causing us to unknowingly believe falsehoods.

    In this session, we will explore how we create meaning and work together to challenge any false beliefs. You will leave with a clearer, more accurate perspective that enhances your understanding of the world and improves your relationships.

  • We'll explore how we see ourselves and why a sense of belonging is so important. We'll also look at what shapes our self-view and what can harm it. Plus, we'll see how your self-view can affect conflicts and make them worse.

COACHING FAQs

  • Coaching focuses on goal-setting and personal growth in a client's personal or professional life, while mental health counseling addresses and helps manage mental health conditions, emotional challenges, and psychological disorders.

  • No!

    Coaching is typically not reimbursable by insurance as it is considered a form of personal development services, distinct from mental health services. Health insurance generally provides coverage for essential treatment deemed medically necessary, delivered by licensed professionals responsible for diagnosing and addressing mental health concerns.

  • A qualified coach possesses a blend of accredited training, practical experience, and a deep understanding of coaching principles and ethics, enabling them to guide clients towards achieving their personal and professional goals.

  • No!

    Life coaches are not required to be licensed.

    When shopping for a life coach be careful to evaluate if they are actually qualified to assist you and that you are not just swayed by good marketing. You may want to be cautious if they do not at least have some form of professional license in a related field or they have obtained a certification from a recognized coaching organization.

  • Having a licensed therapist as your coach ensures you receive guidance that is not only professionally informed but also upholds the highest ethical standards, laying a strong foundation for personal growth.

  • Coaching sessions are 90 minutes long and are dedicated to addressing ongoing conflicts utilizing the insights learned from the client's participation in the Flow program.

  • Appointments need to be canceled 24 hours in advance of scheduled appointment. You will be charged the full amount of the session for missed appointments or failing to cancel 24 hours prior to your appointment.

  • No!

    Coaching is not mental health treatment. For an unlicensed coach to help a coaching client with their mental health needs is called medical malpractice and for a licensed therpist who is coaching to do this, it is considered therpay not coaching. Coaches are not allowed to do more than coaching.

  • Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) typically do not cover life coaching as it is not considered a qualified medical expense.

  • Payment is accepted by Cash, Check or Credit.
